The No-Budget Girl Goes Broke

Today i was getting ready for my trip to florida and i read an old article in Cosmo Girl which is about saving money and still getting what you want i found out that you can still get what you want and save money by looking at clothing and the pricing online to save money on gas, and while you are at home you can look at your closet and think will this go with anything that i own. I think that this would also help people stop impulse buying and save money on things that really count. But if you find something that you really like and it is on sale you can splurge and get it if you want.

T.R. Knight negotiating 'Grey's Anatomy' exit

So Grey's Anatomy is one of my all time favorite show and i was on the computer and this header shocked me. The character of George played by T.R. Knight might leave the show. I read that he wants more air time because in the past episodes of the current season he has had the least amount of air time of all the main charecters. It has been said that he has been unhappy since the name calling by other actors on the set. I hope that he doesn't leave the show because i think hwe has a lot to give if he is given the chance.

Burress accidentally shot in right leg at nightclub, hospitalized

I was watching SNL last week and they did a skit on Plaxico Burress i didn't reallt think about it except that it was really stupid to be carrying a gun in the elastic part of your sweatpants. It was really stupid to have a loaded gun in your pants with an expired permit, also the permit wouldn't be legal in the state of New York . I think that the police wo9uld be doing the right things when charging him for the crimes that he did, because he could have caused harm not only on himself be to others around him.

Will Smith is comming to Edina

On the way to school i heard somthing interesting on the radio, Will Smith is comming to AMC Southdale for the premere of his new movie " seven pounds". I think that this is really exciting even though im not a huge fan of him, and that is is great that he is doing a meet and greet so is fans get the chance to meet him for a little bit. I would bet that meeting him for just a Little big would make the day of many people.

This morning i read an article on the USA today website about the the movie " the Dark Knight" I though that it was very interesting that the director is not sure if he wants to do a 3rd installment of the films trilogy because in the past films that done a 3rd film have not done as well as the previous 2 films. Also I thought that it was interesting that the director does not like to do bloopers, gag reels, or deleted scenes because he wants to show the integrity of the actors and the final product should be the only one with their faces on.

Well today i read an article in cosmo girl and it was " 2008 the best year ever!" I really liked how they wrapped up the entire year in an article. They had all the fads from the year 2008 like the Kanye shades, the mac air, Iphone, to the Jonas Brothers. I also liked the captions from the people commenting on what they thought about the things that happened in 2008. I thought this article was a good thing to have in the end of the year article because it helps you remember all the great things that happened this year like the Miley photo scandal, i dont even recall reading about this because it was in the whole end of the year whirlwind. I really liked this article and recomend people reading it!

Seventeen Magazine

Ahh im leavig London Tomorow and i am so sad. It has been so fun and tonight i went to this cool new restaurant in London called Wagamamma. It was so good. well i should probally start talking about the article that i read. I read anthe embarrasing moments from seventeen magazine. these are my favorite things to read from the magazine. One of my favorites is about a girl who got her foot stuck in a toilet, I thought that this was really funny because people are that stupid to get their foor stuck in a toilet. also another one is when some girl fell down the bleahers at a football game because her crush said high to her. I think that these are so pathetic they are funny

People Magazine

Well i have finally landed in London, the flight was so long but it is so worth because I am so excited to be here!! On the plane I read an artile in People magazine. It was about Heidi and Spencer getting eloped in Mexico. I think that it was so tacky that they did not invite any of their family or friends, but they had it all recorded for an episode of the hills. Also in the amgizine theri was an article on the cast of Twilight. I thought that is was so cute that the two main characters are getting married! Lastly I really liked lookin g at the fashions because they were so pretty

ESPN MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2008

This week i read what we had around the house, the December 01, 2008 issue of ESPN magazine. On the cover of this magazine there was their was a special report on a year after Sean Taylor murder. I think that his murder was so sad because his family was there watching and it was right near the Thanksgiving Holiday. One of the things that i found out from the article was that the plan of the people who killed Taylor was that is was a botched robbery. Another thing that I found out about the article was the now more and more athletes are being targeted for these incidents. One thing that i found that was sad from the article is that Clinton Portis is still angered of the death of his teammate and is now scared for his life. He has his condo watch by security, a gated fence, and a dead bolted door. I hope in the near future that these incidents happen less and less because it is so sad and people are now fearing for their lives.

Seventeen Magazine May 2006

Today in the library I was reading the may 2006 issue of seventeen magazine. An article I thought was really interseting was an article about this school that had 64 pregnant girls in there 2004- 2005 school year. I think that there is a real issue about preganncy in schools and with teens, i think this because i thnk that the schools don't want to have to teach the material, but this is a think the girls beed to learn about! Also I really like the issue because in the magizine thay had a story on this 18 year old mayor names Michael Sessions. i though that it was really cool thatsome boy who was just the right age to vote is so interseted in politics and decided to run for office! i think that it is such a big deal that some boy from a small town in Michigan. It is such a bold move that same boy can so this. I also think that this is cool because he had school the day of the election so he had no idea of what the outcome would be because he was so involved with his school, and now he is the Mayor of Hillsdale, Michigan.

COSMO GIRL

Well this week i got the new Cosmo Girl magazine and Taylor Swift was on the cover. I really like the article about her because it told her life story on how she worked so hard to  get were she is now and the struggles that she faced. I thought that it was really great that she wrote her first song and learned how to play the guitar at the age of 12. I think that, she is so amazing because she is what 18 and she is national star in country music. One of the things that i really like about her is that she is like every other girl when she is not preforming and that she is so down to earth. Some of the other things that i like about her is that she has been able to break the barrier into the music business and still stayed wholesome!

bras and broomsticks part 3

Im so excited I finished the book and it was so good the ending was really good because Rachel finds out that she is a witch when she is at the schools dance. Rachel finds out tat she is a witch when she says a simple rhyme " rain rain go come again some other day" when Rachel says this simple rhyme the storm that is brewing in the near by cities just vanishes out of thin air and goes to the drought in California. Rachel is so happy because now the school party can go on at the drive in movie theatre. Rachel is also relieved because now she is not to blame for ruining two of the schools springs party's. I thought it was funny how Rachel and Miri Ruined the schools first spring party by letting all of the circus animals out from the circus and all of the animals somehow ended up in the school. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to find a good boom that will keep them laughing the entire book.

bras and broomsticks part 2

Well it has been a long time since i have been on and i am so happy that the ends of the quarter is over! I have been reading the book Bras and Broomsticks by Sarah Mlynowski. I am really liking this book because it is really funny i like the part when Miri wants to stop the cruelty of circus animals and casts a spell that will set them free but she realizes that the animals don't just get sent back to the wild they are set free in New York City and they cause havoc. I also liked the part when Miri tries to stop world hunger and makes a spell to get food to all hungry people by "growing" fruit and she ends up  taking all the orange out of the city on accident. When these things happen Miri's mother tells her that she can't just create things they get moved from other places and she can't just make things for the fun of it. I cannot wait to find out what happens next!

bras and broomsticks part 1

This weekend i started to red the book Bras and Broomsticks written by Sara Mylnowski, and i am really enjoying this book it is amazing! I am really liking the part when Rachel finds out that her younger sister Miri is  witch. I think this book is really funny because Rachel is jealous of Miri because Miri doesn't really want these powers and Rachel would die for her powers. I also liked how they live in an appartment in New York City  with their mom and their dad lives in Long Island with his fiance and her daughter, and they are trying to stop the wedding between their dad and Jennifer his fiance because they want him to reconnect with their mother and not gain a step-sister. I think that it is really funny that they use a love potion on their mother and their father to get them back together. Im not sure what happens next but cant to find out what happens next!

Female Heroes

This video from the disney movie Get a Clue shows how 4 teen solve the mystery of their missing teacher. Lindsey Lohan character is the main girl because she believes that it is her fault that her teacher is missing. Lexi is a hero in this film because she helps save the life of her teacher and find the missing 10 million dollars.

This video shows Wendy Wu preparing to become a warrior. she becomes a warrior with the help from Shin, and the 3 helpers. Wendy is the hero in this film because she saves the world from the evil Chinese people and saves her families tradition.

This photo shows the transformation of Wendy because she is in the final stage of her battle she is fighting the evil chinese warriors and saving the world.


MALE HEROES

this video shows the power placement of all the superheros in movie Sky High and how there are some with amzing powers and other with minor powers. In the end of this film you see the " sidekicks" winning the battle against Royal Pain when the heros are in distress. you see that sidekicks aren't people to blow off but they are a huge part of winning the battle.

this photo shows Shin who is the other main character in the movie Wendy Wu: homecoming Warrior. in this movie you see Shin become a hero by giving up his life for the greater good of the world.

CONCLUSION:

these items show some of the many Disney heroes. in these videos you see the detective in the movie GET A CLUE solve a mystery, Wendy Wu going through warrior training in the movie WENDY WU HOMECOMING WARRIOR, the power placement in the movie SKY HIGH. In these videos you see how the roles are shown, when the men are the heros you see a different view on the problem. also their are more disney movies with female as the lead role .

THE CLQUE BOOK 5 PART 3

I finally finished this book and it was so good i really liked the part when Dlyan watches her mother kiss her teacher and goes into full meltdown and runs off into the woods when Massie see's this she makes all the girls follow Dlyan into the woods to calm her down, but in their running through the woods they get lost. I think my favorite part of this scene is that the girls are stuck in the woods all day and then they get caught by a bear and they have stay still for hours until they can get the bear to leave. My other favorite part is in the end and they girls finally get back to the camp only a few hours later but the girls find out that what they did was very dangerous and what they did was very irresponsable, and what they did got them in so much trouble and they are now Expelled from school.

THE CLQUE BOOK 5 PART 2

i haven't had much time to read in my book this week but i have read some and it has been so good Massie is having a horrible time at camp because she has to wear the same thing ant camp all day, kristen is wanting to do anything to be able to be at camp but her parents camp afford it, dlyan is having the worst time because her mother is spending all her time with the teacher, and claire want cam to notice her at camp because she really like him. i am really liking the parts when Massie is teaching a kissing class to all the girls and she is having Claire tell her everything about kissing because Massie is a "lip virgin". i also really like the part when the girls find out that kristen snuck up to the camp by telling he parents she was going on a soccer trip. i cant wait to find out what happens next, it was so hard to but the book down.

THE CLIQUE BOOK 5

well i have finished reading the 1st and 2nd clique books and they were so good but i decided to skip around in the series to jump to a new book. So i am now reading the 5th clique book which is when the girls go on a school camping trip to Lake Placid and it is such a big deal because the boys from their brother school are coming on the trip also. When the girls reach the camp they get a big reality check when their teacher sais, that they have to leave all their clothes and shoes on the bus except for 3 pairs of pants, shirts, and 1 pair of shoes. When the girls realize that this trip is not going to be all fun and games they think that they are so luck to be able to have the nicer things in life. Their is also lots of drama in this book like when Dlyan finds out that her mother coming on the trip as a mother/daughter piece for her tv show. But wherei a in the book the girls are realizing that having to do things on their own and not relying on others to do things for them i a lot harder then it looks.

THE CLIQUE BOOK TWO

well i have been reading the clique and it is getting really good Claire, Massie, and the GLU girls have been getting along great. i am really liking the parts when Claire and Massie decide to have a halloween and tell their parent s that they are co. planning it si they can finally have a " boy/ girl" party. I think that it is so funny that the girls put so much planning into the party and not tell Claire about what they are doing. I also enjoyed the part when Massie didn't give Claire her costume to wear to school on the day of the party and she had to pick a new costume and her brother help by also dressing up as a power puff girl. i am really enjoying reading these book and it is so good rereading them because you pick up things that you missed the last time you read them. so i cant wait to find out what happens next.

Mucy

This week i haven't done much outside reading, but i have been reading the animal humane society website because we has to put our family dog Mucy down this weekend.  When i was at the humane society i realized how many animals are without homes and that there so many who are lost. But i think that the job that they do there is really hard because they see so many animals and there is nothing they can to help some of them but just wait for someone to adopt the animal. There are great things that they do there like pet classes, and taking in the lost animals to help them find there owners, and also help family find pets to complete their families. After what has happened this weekend i am thankful that my dog is not suffering anymore but,  i am so devistated because it feels like a part of my family is gone. 

THE CLIQUE

This week i finished reading gossip girl the carlyles, and it was amzing!!!! But this is not what i am writing about in this blog. i have been reading the book, The Clique by: Lisi Harrison. i have read this book before but no in a long time, and i am now realizing how funny it actually is. I had forgotten about how much back stabbing and life altering things had happened in the book, like Claire moving and Massie having to deal with the competition. I really like the parts in the book when Massie would do bad things to Claire just because she was different then her because she hadn't grown up in the same lifestyle as her. I think the best parts in the book was when Claire had gone on to Massie computer and tricked her friends to act like her so people wouldn't thinks she was only their because she was living in Massie Guest house. But the best part of the book was in the end Massie finally gave in to being friends with Claire and now they are great friends.

CHARACTER COMPARISM

I believe that Hallie and Codi are very similar in many ways because they are sisters, share the same traits, and i would say very close friends.  Another one of the reasons i believe that Codi and Hallie are very similar is that they are both are well traveled, because Codi has traveled all around Europe when she was with Carlo helping the sick, and now Hallie is in Nicuragua helping the people there grow crops to support themselves. This shows that they have been to many places around the world, and now are starting to settle down in one place. Also i think because of what they have seen in the world, it shows that they are always willing to help because like i said Hallie is in Nicuragua and now Codi has come back to Grace to help her father who is sick, and is now the Biology teacher in Grace at the High School. Also i believe that they are similar is they both are very tall at just around 6 feet. Also i think that the way they were raised help make the similar because they had the same friends, were alway with each other, and they would always sleep in the same bed and Doc Homer would say " it looked like they were the same person." Also i think because they had no mother growing up made them very close and similar because Codi took on the role of being a mother to herself and Hallie, because their mother died when giving birth to Hallie and Doc Homer was always a distant father to the girls. These are just a few reason that i think Hallie and Codi are similar.

Gossip Girl

I have recently been reading the book: Gossip Girl, The Carlyles By: Cecily von Ziegesar. This book is about the life of the Carlyles triplets when they move from Natucket to New York, and have to start their life all over again by meeting new friends and going to a new school. I believe that the author is proving her thesis because she is showing that moving to a new city and state isn't easy to do when you are a 17 year old. Is it leaving the only home you have ever lived in, starting a new school, or leaving all you friends behind and having to make new ones. I agree with the authors view on teenagers life because she show how mean some people can be, and also she show how the bonds of family always stay strong. I love reading this book because it has so much drama real life issues that everyone can feel like they have been one of the books characters in one way or another. i cant wait to read the ending to find out what happens next!
